Toilet Services We Provide

Toilets are the most-used fixture in most homes. When they fail, the failure is rarely subtle. We handle:

  • Repair - running, weak flush, leak at base, won't flush, ghost-flushing, slow refill, loose handle, sweating tank
  • Installation - new toilet replacement, including haul-away of the old unit and a fresh wax ring
  • Flange repair - when the closet flange is broken or the floor has rotted, we replace it before resetting the toilet
  • Comfort-height & ADA upgrades - taller bowl heights are easier on knees and a common request from older homeowners
  • Low-flow conversion - replacing pre-1994 toilets with WaterSense-certified models cuts water bills meaningfully

Common Toilet Problems We Fix

If your toilet is doing any of these, schedule a repair before the failure escalates:

  • Running constantly - flapper, fill valve, or chain length problem
  • Weak or incomplete flush - jets clogged with mineral buildup, flapper closing too fast, or low tank water level
  • Leaking at the base - wax ring failure or cracked porcelain; not a tighten-the-bolts fix in most cases
  • Won't flush at all - chain disconnected, blocked trapway, or main-line clog backing up
  • Sweating tank - condensation in warm humid weather; tank insulator kit or anti-sweat valve fixes it
  • Loose or broken handle - cheap fix, just replace the trip lever
  • Ghost-flushing - tank fills on its own every few minutes, usually a worn flapper letting water seep out
  • Clog that won't clear - if a plunger and an auger both fail, the problem is downstream and we'll camera-inspect

New Toilet Installation - What to Expect

Most toilet replacements take 60-90 minutes from arrival to working flush. The process: shut off the supply valve, drain the tank, disconnect and remove the old unit, inspect the closet flange and replace if cracked, install a fresh wax ring, set and bolt down the new toilet, reconnect the supply, level, caulk the base, and test. We haul the old toilet away.

If the flange is rotted or below the finished floor (common in older Asheville homes), we install an extender ring. If the supply line is original galvanized, we'll show you and recommend replacing it with a braided stainless line before walking away.

Toilet Brands We Install

We install the toilet you already bought (HD, Lowes, online order) or we can pick up one for you. Brands we work with most often: Kohler, TOTO, American Standard, Mansfield. If you have a specific model in mind, mention it on the call - some specialty toilets (wall-hung, integrated bidet, dual-flush) need a different rough-in or supply approach.

Toilet Repair & Installation FAQs - Buncombe & Henderson Counties

How much does toilet installation cost in Asheville?

Cost varies based on whether the existing flange and supply valve are reusable and what brand you're installing. We provide a written, flat-rate quote on every job before any work begins. The price you see is the price you pay.

Can you replace my toilet in a single visit?

Yes, in almost every case. Most replacements take 60-90 minutes once we have parts on site. The exceptions are flange repairs that require subfloor work and special-order toilets we don't carry on the truck.

Why is my toilet running constantly?

The flapper at the bottom of the tank is the most common culprit - it wears out and stops sealing. Less commonly, the fill valve is failing or the chain has too much slack. We carry replacement flappers and fill valves for the major brands.

Are low-flow toilets actually worth installing?

WaterSense 1.28 GPF toilets made in the past 10 years flush noticeably better than the early 1.6 GPF models from the 1990s. If your current toilet is from the 1990s era of low-flow, an upgrade often pays for itself in water savings and ends the double-flush habit.

Do you haul away the old toilet?

Yes. Our standard installation price includes removal and disposal of the old unit. If you want to keep the old one for any reason, let us know.
