Main Water Line Repairs

Main Water Line Repair Trench

When Money’s the Main Concern…

Main water line repair work is not cheap. On top of paying for materials, you’ll need to budget between $70 to $120 per hour in labor costs. Sound scary? We thought so, too, which is why we came up with a fixed price system. We tell you what you’ll owe up front so there are no surprises when your service is complete. When money’s the main concern, choose My Plumbers LLC for main water line repairs in Asheville, NC.

Common Types of Damage to Main Water Lines

The main water line provides water to all faucets and fixtures in the home. These water lines can be made from CPVC, PEX, or copper. The cost for main water line repair can depend on the reason behind the damage as well as pipe material. Cracked pipes are among the least expensive of repairs followed by broken pipes. Corroded pipe repair requires a bit more of a monetary investment because all corroded portions will need to be removed and replaced (which typically means replacing the whole pipe).

If you’re on a budget, you may be wondering if you can perform main water line repairs on your own. The short answer is, no. Most local governments only allow licensed plumbers to perform main water line repairs.

Signs and Causes of Damaged Main Water Lines

Busted main water lines often reveal themselves through the low water pressure they cause. Sometimes, the low-pressured water appears rust colored and foul-smelling. Outdoors, noticing cracks in your home’s foundation or puddles in your yard lets you know that something’s not right with the line underneath. And if you hear running water when no one’s using the plumbing, it’s not a ghost taking a shower — it’s probably a failing main water line.

Things like freezing temperatures, tree roots, and corrosion can cause your main water line to burst. A leaking line can waste a lot of money and clean water, and if you suspect a leak, you should call a plumber. In western North Carolina, My Plumbers LLC offers main water line repairs. We charge a $79 dispatch fee, but that fee is waived if any work is approved. Put your doubts to rest, and call 828-708-7107 for service in a city near you.

My Plumbers is fantastic. A colleague at work recommended them to me and I'm glad they did. We've tried a lot of plumbers in Asheville and have had some pretty underwhelming experiences with many of the big name companies. The crew at My Plumbers are thorough, professional, punctual and friendly. I highly recommend them. Thanks for the great job.

Co-owner/operator Stephen and his brother Mauricio came out to quote a residential hot water heater replacement for me. They were prompt, communicative, very thorough and did a great job addressing my concerns and educating me on the process. They were professional and courteous, and I would highly recommend them to others, and in particular to other women. It's always a concern about how you'll be treated when dealing with home maintenance companies, but I felt at ease, respected and comfortable in our interactions from start to finish. I would definitely call them again for any future plumbing work.

Stephen and John-Micheal were fantastic. I had multiple companies come out to give me quotes on replacing the pressure reduction valve and install an expansion tank for my water heater. My Plumbers was fairly priced and started the job right away, working until after dark. With it being just days before Christmas I'm thankful the guys took the time to make sure my home is comfortable for the holidays and I have hot water. I highly recommend My Plumbers and will be using them again if the need arises.

My experience with this company was none other than exceptional. We needed a new waterline installed at our church for about 350-400 feet and the process went very smooth. Although I mainly worked with John, his business partner is wonderful also. They are honest, trustworthy, and do quality work. I found it easy to communicate with them and I really appreciated the daily updates on the work. I plan to use this company in the future for church work and for plumbing needs at my residence. I highly recommend My Plumbers LLC.

Johnmichael did a fantastic job coming in and repairing a washing machine pipe leak for us. He was fast, thorough and had no problem with explaining the what's and the why's on the service performed. We are happy to say that we've found the plumbers we will call whenever we need help later. Have also recommended to friends as well. Great, clean work done at a good price, can't go wrong there.

I've used these guys at least four times now both for big and small jobs (underground pipes feeding the house, filtration system, kitchen sink replacement, shower repair/replacement). They are simply the best! Honest, hard working, and you can be assured that they'll do the job correctly because they know exactly what they are doing. Extremely knowledgeable. Thanks!

Steven and Johnmichael of My Plumbers are the people to call when you have plumbing issues. The main waterline to our house broke. They assessed the situation in a timely manner and were always available to answer questions either in person or by phone. They were upfront about the issue and the cost of fixing the water pipe. They fixed our issue over the weekend. Otherwise we wouldn't have gotten water back at our house until the beginning of the next week. I would recommend their services to everyone.

You would be wasting time shopping around for a better fix to any plumbing problem you may have. Stephen and JohnMichael showed no hesitation in rectifying the plumbing needs of a two duplex property in Henderson County with the emergency need of water due to a heart breaking and misfortunate house fire two weeks ago that left one family without a home and three other families without water. My Plumbers swept in on short notice, prioritizing the essential need of getting water to the three other families after this tragic event. My wife and I watched as both Stephen and JohnMichael worked relentlessly to install a brand new water pump. As well as, the installation of new piping and other gadgets that was needed for water to be rerouted from the burned down unit to the other unit across the street. This process required digging a two foot trench over 130 feet in length through land rich in hard rock and under a paved driveway. And, much of this was done while rain poured down on these hard working young men! The only thing that delayed this job from being finished in record time was the weather and the unfortunate complacency of the Henderson County bureaucracy to inspect the site as scheduled. Bottom line is, for the best value and more importantly, professionalism and quality, My Plumbers should be the only call you will ever have to make if ever in need of a plumbing expert!
